Troubleshooting Opportunities (Common Issues and Fixes)

This article covers the most common opportunity-related issues and the fastest fixes.


Issue: I can’t find the client in the Add Opportunity form

  • Cause: The client may not exist yet.
  • Fix: Add the client first (Clients → + Add Client), then create the opportunity.

Issue: My pipeline totals look wrong

  • Cause: Values are being entered inconsistently (mixing annual revenue with one-time fees, etc.).
  • Fix: Pick one value method and update existing opportunities to match it.

Issue: I have duplicate opportunities

  • Fix: Keep the most accurate record and remove or rename duplicates to avoid double-counting.

Issue: The dashboard “Hot Revenue Opportunities” doesn’t match my Opportunities list

  • Cause: Dashboard often shows a subset (typically hot/high-priority items).
  • Fix: Use the Opportunities page as your source of truth, and use the dashboard as a priority view.
