How To Change Number Of Rings On IPhone before Going to Voicemail

our GPS trackers roll through 3 family member numbers when SOS is triggered whether manually or if a senior falls. In rare occasions, the phone will go to voicemail before the tracker rolls to the second number. Voicemail is considered an answer by the tracker, so it won't attempt to call the second or third number.

To force the tracker to roll to the next number in line if no answer was received, the number of rings on the phone needs to be setup to 6 or more rings or the number of seconds before the phone goes to voicemail should set to 30 seconds or more.

Here are the instructions to increase the number of rings on iPhone before going to voicemail. This should allow the watch to try to reach one number before it gives up and rolls over to the next number and so on.

Method 1: Using the Phone app settings.

The easiest way to change the number of rings on your search iPhone is by adjusting the settings in the Phone app. Here’s how:

  1. Open the Phone app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap on the “Keypad” tab at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Dial the following code: *#61#
  4. Press the “Call” button.
  5. You will see a screen displaying the current settings for your voicemail number and the number of rings before calls go to voicemail.
  6. Take note of the voicemail number and the “Rings” parameter.
  7. To change the number of rings, dial the following code: *61*voicemailnumber*11*numberOfSeconds#
  8. Replace “voicemailnumber” with your actual voicemail number and “numberOfSeconds” with the desired number of seconds (e.g., 30 for 30 seconds). The “voicemailnumber” can actually be your own phone number.
  9. Press the “Call” button.

Test your phone rings! Your search iPhone will now ring for the specified number of seconds before diverting to voicemail. We recommend 30 seconds.

Method 2: Contacting your network provider

If the previous methods didn’t work or if you’re not comfortable with adjusting settings yourself, you can contact your network provider for assistance. They will be able to customize the number of rings on your search iPhone according to their network settings. We recommend 6 rings which translates to 30 seconds.
