How the Emergency Wallet Card Works
Your emergency wallet card is designed to speak for you when you cannot speak for yourself. It alerts medical professionals that you have critical information and documents stored in your IronClad Family vault.
What is printed on the card?
- Your name and key medical details such as allergies or conditions.
- Emergency contact phone numbers.
- A QR code linked to your health directive or emergency profile.
How first responders use it
- They see the card in your wallet and know you carry important medical info.
- They can call your primary emergency contacts immediately.
- They can follow the QR code or instructions to request access to your directive.
How to keep your card effective
- Review the details printed on your card at least once a year.
- Update your vault anytime medications, allergies, or emergency contacts change.
- Carry the card in the same place in your wallet so responders can find it quickly.
The emergency wallet card does not automatically grant full access to your vault. It simply points responders to the right information while your privacy settings and legal requirements remain in place.

Important: The wallet card does not automatically grant full access to your vault. Access is still controlled by your settings, your triggers, and any legal documentation required. The card simply lets others know that important information exists and how to request it.
