What Happens to My Vault If I Pass Away?
Your vault is designed to reduce chaos for the people you love during the hardest days of their lives. You decide in advance which recipients receive which documents and messages if you die.
How delivery works
- You configure triggers such as death, incapacity, or a specific date.
- Each vault or folder can have its own set of recipients.
- When your trigger is confirmed, documents and messages are delivered according to your instructions.
What IronClad Family will not do
- We do not hand over your vault to someone simply because they ask.
- We do not override your instructions or “guess” your wishes.
- Support cannot release documents manually, even with paperwork.
How to make life easier for your family
- Keep your will, trust, and powers of attorney up to date and stored in your vault.
- Ensure your executor and key decision-makers are added as recipients.
- Use the notes or instruction fields to explain “what goes where” in plain language.
- Talk to your family so the vault is not a surprise—they should know it exists.
Important: Your vault supports your estate plan; it does not create one for you. Your legal documents are still the final authority.
